We have a program? Yes!
At Holy Spirit Elementary, our guidance program is based on the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) National Model. What does that mean? It means that our program is a comprehensive approach to program foundation, delivery, management, and accountability! Basically, we provide services to anyone who needs them, involve parents and administration in our development, are organized and professional, and use data gathered in our school to better our school as a whole!
Why do we have a School Counselor?
Because they keep the school's temperature! Not like Mrs. Shortall does though! School Counselors constantly monitor what is going on in the school and help to keep things flowing smoothly! When you have happy students, happy parents, and happy teachers, everything flows smoothly! When you have unhappy kids, mad parents, and frustrated teachers, then you have a problem! It's my job to make sure that everyone is happy and getting along, and that the school is running like a well-oiled machine!
